To the entire family, my deepest condolences. Iris, I'm so sorry, I just found out. I know you are a strong woman and God will give you comfort. Remember he's in the other side waiting  for you. I used to see Michael once in a while here in New Britain and talked about the family especially his kids. He was a genuine and kind young man. Que Dios los bendiga.

Rivera- Acosta Family:  Sending my deepest condolences, love,  hugs and prayers.  Iris couldn't stop talking about what a wonderful son, father and caring man Mikal was.  He was, and continues to be, a ray of sunshine to all who encountered him.  Rest well and shine in heaven.

Mikal was such a big part of my daughter's life. He was the Male, father figure that she needed. He was always there for her as well as his wife, the love of his life, his children, as well as family and friends. Mikal always made me feel like I was part of his family.  I have know and been friends with Marisa for many years. I have learned what the meaning of love 
and what family is all about from both of them. I will remember you always Mikal.

So sad that you are gone to soon. You always made people laugh no matter what.  We all are going to miss you

I love you dad, I will never forget you. We have so many memories together but one of my favorites was when we took Babygirl, Oreo and Liam to the Farmington river. When Oreo jumped in the water for the duck but didn’t know what he got himself into. Another one is when we went to the RedSox game and the train ride home. I can go on and on but my favorite is just the times we stayed home and got drunk. I love you so much and I still can’t believe. I promise to be there for all my brothers and show the little ones how much you loved them. I wish I can hear you say “ How it go, How it go “  I’m going to be strong for you and continue to work hard like my dad showed me to. I love you “Mike Check”
