

Otto P. Dawkins, III, 54, beloved husband of Kimberly (Mangan) Dawkins, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes while vacationing in Punta Cana, D.R on August 31, 2024. Otto was born on January 23, 1970 in Hartford to the late Otto P. Dawkins, Jr. and Marie (Falconieri) Dawkins. He graduated from South Catholic High School and currently resided in Spring Hill, FL. Otto was employed by HFO/Trident in the AR Department.
Otto was known and loved for his larger than life personality. He was an avid NY Yankee and Miami Dolphin fan, catching a live game whenever possible. He also had a passion for travel, vacations, cruises, weekend trips and casinos (he was very good at Blackjack!). He loved live music from local musicians, concerts, singing karaoke, especially Frank Sinatra, R&B and Journey. He loved to entertain and show off his cooking skills with his Mom’s sauce and meatball recipe, sausage bread or grilling. He will be missed by many.
Along with his spouse Kim, Otto is survived by his children who he loved dearly, Tyler J. Dawkins and Amber M. Dawkins, both of Torrington; his siblings, Sharon (Ted) Sposito, Thomas (Rose) Barry, John (Yvette) Cianfaglione, and Nicole (Tom) LePore. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 16 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 12 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
