

Pamela A. (D'Engenis) DiTomaso, of Glastonbury, passed away suddenly, Tuesday (February 14, 2012) at her home. She was born June 22, 1954 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Felix P. D'Engenis and Florence M. (Verrillo) D'Engenis. She was a graduate of George J. Penney High School, Class of 1972. After High School, Pam was employed by St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center where she was the secretary to the director of OB/GYN. She later was employed by the Glastonbury School System, working as a Para-Professional at the Buttonball Lane School in the Special Education Department since 1995. She loved children and enjoyed working to help them. Pam had a beloved passion for knitting, cooking for her family and doing arts and crafts. Shopping was her favorite hobby. She will always be remembered as a very kind and generous person who always put everyone before herself. She is survived by her loving daughter, Christie Lyn Pantano and husband, Paul of East Hartford and loving son, Andrew P. DiTomaso of Glastonbury. She also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Donna M. D'Engenis and twin sister, Joan A. D'Engenis both of Glastonbury; her godson, Matthew Rondinone of East Hartford; many cousins as well as a host of very dear and close friends, among them her dearest friend, Marianne Greene. Pam also leaves behind her devoted pets, Lily and Jeter, her first pet, Barney predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 18 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial will be in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. There will not be any calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pamela's memory may be made to the Buttonball Lane School, Support Service Department, 376 Buttonball Lane, Glastonbury, CT. 06033.
