Patricia Ann (Lisella) Kilray, 78, of Newington, beloved wife for 50 years of the late Edward F. Kilray, passed away on Tuesday (December 22, 2020) at Hartford Hospital after a short but vigilant battle with cancer. Born in Hartford on April 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Nunzio and Antonette (Bocchino) Lisella. Pat was a 1960 graduate of Hartford Public High School. Shortly after high school she and Ed married and started their family. She was a stay-at-home mother while her kids were growing up. Once her children were old enough, she went back to work for Skill Craft Machine for many years, retiring as an Office Manager.
During their retirement, Ed and Pat traveled to many locations in the United States and Europe, but one of her favorite places was Bermuda. She and Ed enjoyed the simple things in life, such as their daily walks around the neighborhood, church on Saturday night no matter where they were, ice cream and Sunday drives. Most of all, they loved being grandparents to Devin and Michael.
A loving mother and grandmother, Pat will be forever missed by her three children, two sons, Thomas and Mark Kilray and his wife Eva, her daughter, Ann and her husband Marc Koss of Newington, and her two cherished grandchildren whom she loved beyond words, Devin Koss of San Francisco, CA and Michael Koss of Newington. She is also survived by her two brothers whom she shared a very special bond with for their entire lives, her big brother Michael Lisella and his wife Darlene and her younger brother John Lisella, all of Newington. She also leaves her brothers-in-law and their wives, George and Margaret Kilray of New York, William and Mary Kilray of Newington and Joe and Naomi Kilray of Rocky Hill. Also left to mourn are her nieces and nephews, Michelle, Cindy, Michael, Patrick, Billy, Erin, Brent, Eric and Kaitlin. Pat also leaves two very special people, her childhood friend, Sandy Violette of Massachusetts and daily walking partner, Annette Trigila of Newington. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bob.
The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield has been entrusted with arrangements. Per our mother’s wishes, there will be no visitation and the services will be private. She will be laid to rest alongside Ed in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. To share a memory of Pat with her family, please visit www.desopofuneralchapel.com.
