Paul E.j. Cavalieri

Paul E. J. 'Rapid' Cavalieri, 21, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, (March 18, 2008) in the paradise of Delray Beach, FL. He was the beloved son and gift of Paul and Kristina (Denisiewicz) Cavalieri of Wethersfield, he also leaves his sisters, Chris Cavalieri of Los Angeles, CA and Jenna Cavalieri of San Diego, CA as well as his grandparents, Wanda Denisiewicz of West Hartford and Serafina and Sebastian Cavalieri of Wethersfield. Paul also leaves his uncles and aunts and cousins who he loved dearly. Along with his family he leaves countless friends, old and new, who will remember his smile, charm and kindness to all. Paul was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Jan Denisiewicz. Paul graduated Wethersfield High School, Class of 2004 and attended ECSU. He was an accomplished athlete in football, #88, as well as indoor and outdoor track and field. He made All Conference as a wide receiver during his senior year in high school. He was captain of the varsity track team, made the Class L State Championship 4 x 200 relay, breaking state record time, and won the men's outdoor track and field conference championship 4 x 100 meter relay in 2005. In addition to being an accomplished All Conference, All State and All New England athlete in track and field, Paul was awarded the Robert N. 'Bob' Yarrow Award for Excellence in Track in 2004. Paul will live in the hearts and minds of all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. He will never be forgotten. Funeral was private.
