Paul Conforto, Sr., 95, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband for 72 years of Sarah (Mazzarella) Conforto, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Hartford on July 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Corrado and Paulina (Lombardo) Conforto. He was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, Hartford and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Paul worked as a foreman for Standard Structural Steel. He was a lifelong avid fan of the New York Yankees. More than anything, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be forever missed by his wife Sarah; three sons, Peter Conforto and wife Donna, Paul Conforto and wife Kathrine and Philip Conforto and wife Gail; six adored grandchildren and four cherished great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by all five of his siblings, Joe, Sam, Sal, John and Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (October 12) at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial with military honors will follow in Center Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4-7:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
