

Pietro Tromba, 71, of Hartford, beloved husband for 50 years of Carmelina (Mastracchio) Tromba, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Born in Baranello, Italy on September 19, 1954, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Camilla (Manocchio) Tromba. Pietro came to the U.S. in 1974. He worked as an auto mechanic for Harte Nissan for 40 years, working tirelessly to provide for his family. He enjoyed making homemade wine and sausage, tending to his vegetable garden, watching the Inter soccer team and playing cards with family and friends. He was also a member of the Baranello Club for many years. His family meant the world to him and he was happiest when they were all together.
A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Pietro will be forever missed by his wife Carmelina; three daughters, Camilla St. Andrew and husband Mark, Lisa Lamenzo and husband Craig and Sabrina Cruz and husband Juan and his six adored grandchildren, Mark and Kathryn St. Andrew, Giancarlo and Luca Lamenzo and Emma and Sophia Cruz. He is also survived by his brother, Stefano Tromba, whose call he looked forward to every night, a testament to their closeness, and wife Tina, one niece, three nephews and many extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hartford Hospital ICU Bliss 11, as well as Pietro’s aides, for their care and compassion.
Calling hours will be Saturday, October 18 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford.
