Richard Edward Lenz

Richard E. Lenz, 85, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Hebrew Healthcare of West Hartford. He was the husband of Odette (Levesque) Lenz.

Richard was born on September 7, 1932 in Hartford, son of the late Francis and Mary (Rowe) Lenz. After graduating from Bulkely High School, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Following his service, Richard was a lineman for Northeast Utilities until his retirement.

Richard’s strong but gentle nature will be forever remembered by his wife Odette Lenz of Berlin, his daughters, Mary Scully and her husband Bill of Wethersfield and Karen Onofri of East Hartford, his grandson Jeffrey Jinks of Wethersfield, and his step-daughters Theresa Crivellone of Middletown and Michele Latina of Cromwell.

Services and military honors will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Richard’s name can be made to Protectors of Animals, 144 Main Street, Unit O, East Hartford, CT 06118.
