Robert ""Bob"" G. Piacentini, 60, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 unexpectedly in his home in Wethersfield. He leaves his two sons, Michael and Mark, his brother Tom and sister-in-law Liz. Born in Hartford, CT on November 10, 1954 to the late Arthur and Julie (Dudeck) Piacentini, Bob grew up in Wethersfield where he lived for most of his life. He had fond memories of playing football at Wethersfield High School and basketball with Corpus Christi Church. He was a heavy equipment operator with the IUOE Local 478 until his retirement at age 55. Bob was a sports fan, avid fisherman, and lover of the beach. He was a hard worker and could be found most days tending to his yard and garden. Bob was passionate, a friend to all, and would go out of his way to help anyone. Visiting hours will be held by his family from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, November 10 at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Funeral services and burial will be private.
