Rosa (Fierro) Frusciante, 95, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife for 70 years of the late Sabato Frusciante, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Born in Apice, province of Benevento, Italy on February 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Mandato and Antonetta (Pastizzo) Fierro. After World War II, Rosa and Sabato moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1953, where they were instrumental in helping to build the Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana Church. In 1966, they moved to the U.S. and settled in Hartford. After retirement, they moved to Dania Beach, FL before eventually coming back to Rocky Hill. Rosa worked as an assembler for Carling Switch for many years. She loved to cook and sew, but her faith and her family were the most important things to her.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosa will be forever remembered and missed by her four children, Alba Frusciante and husband Miguel Mojsiejczuk of Rocky Hill, Daniel Frusciante and wife Norma of Wethersfield, John Frusciante and wife Karen of Tulsa, OK and David Frusciante and wife Anne of Old Saybrook; seven adored grandchildren and three cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her great-grandson, Vincent Basile and four siblings, Marianna Rotundo, Felice Fierro, Rinaldo Fierro and Antonio Fierro. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Glastonbury Healthcare Center and Donna Collette of Athena Hospice for her kindness and loving care.
Calling hours will be Monday (September 12) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 12 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
