

Rosalia 'Lia' (Pantano) Ambrogio, wife of the late Sebastiano Ambrogio, died peacefully on Saturday (May 29, 2010) surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 7, 1934 in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuele and Lucia (Golino) Pantano. Mrs. Ambrogio was a faithful, long-time communicant of the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. Mrs. Ambrogio was a passionate and accomplished cook and seamstress. She was employed for many years by Wynshaw's Bridal Shop. More recently, she taught cooking classes at Manchester Community College - ""Fatta in Casa."" She is survived by her son, Dr. Riccardo I. Ambrogio and his wife, Lisa of Wethersfield; her daughter, Mary Ambrogio Cashman, Esq. and her husband, Tony of Avon; her devoted grandchildren, Alessandra Maria Ambrogio, Dante Lorenzo Ambrogio, Giancarlo Renato Ambrogio and Ava Marie Cashman; her sisters, Serafina Cavalieri, Paolina Migliorati, Concetta Salemi and Mary Matrone; her brothers, Paolo Pantano, Salvatore Pantano and Santo Pantano, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Sebastiano Pantano. She was a true friend to many, unfailing in her devotion. She often showed her kindness and generosity through her food, which was loved by all. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Apple Rehab in Rocky Hill for their dedicated and compassionate care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 4 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield.
