

Rose Nancy (DiBella) Pelson, 76, of Hartford, beloved wife for 47 years of Stanley E. Pelson, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong Hartford resident, she was born on February 18, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Dominic J. and Mary T. (Lattanzio) DiBella. Rose’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family. She always looked forward to any family event with much anticipation and excitement. Rose also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Hartford. She was a survivor of the Hartford Circus Fire. Rose worked for a number of years at the Woodbridge Bakery and Mandell’s Pharmacy prior to her job as an advertising receptionist for the Hartford Courant. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her devoted husband Stanley; two sons, Michael Maston and his wife Nancy of Torrington and Steven Maston and his wife Lynne of Newington; her five adored grandchildren, Michael Maston, II and his wife Melissa Merovonich of Windsor, Vincent Maston and his husband Paul Grammems of West Hartford, Jillian and Jenna Maston of Torrington and Rebecca Maston of Newington, and her cherished great-grandson, Michael Maston, III of Manchester. Rose is also survived by her brother, John DiBella and his wife Ginny of Wethersfield; two sisters, Debbie Wilcox and her husband Guy and Mary D’Alesandro, all of East Hartford and many dear nieces, nephews and their families, Dean DiBella and wife Liz and their children, Grant and Gavin, Mark D’Alesandro and wife Kaitlin and their daughter, Mateya, Craig D’Alesandro and wife Merary, Guy Wilcox, Dominic Wilcox, Brooke Wilcox and daughter, Brooklynn, Carly Wilcox and daughter, Jaelyn and Nico Wilcox. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Gary D’Alesandro. Rose’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Maple View Manor and Masonicare Home Health and Hospice for their care and compassion.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday (September 29) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford.
