Rose (Marzario) Visone, 92, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Louis N. Visone, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with her devoted son by her side. Born in Hartford on October 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Pietro “Peter” and Giovannina “Jennie” (Mormando) Marzario. Rose’s mother passed away when she was four years old and she was raised by her loving godparents, the late Giuseppe and Theresa (Tremont) Montano. She was raised in Hartford but has been a resident of Wethersfield since 1970. Rose was a graduate of St. Patrick School, Hartford Public High School and Cambridge Secretarial School. She was employed as a secretary with the CT Dairy and Food Council, and by the City of Hartford as the Health Department Head Secretary, where she worked with Dr. Burgdorf. She was also a realtor associate for 20 years, where she made many friends, most importantly her dear friend, Nina Dolan, who went above and beyond to help Rose in her final months. Rose was an ardent lover of animals, an avid reader, enjoyed spending summers on Leetes Island in Guilford and visits to Mohegan Sun Casino, especially the Forever Young Mondays, as well as concerts. She shared a love of travel with her late husband, who passed away in 1998. Rose enjoyed all kinds of sports, the GHO and then Traveler’s Championship each year and baseball, especially her beloved Red Sox. She was a longtime faithful communicant of Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Wethersfield Senior Center, where she enjoyed the many activities and trips. Rose will be forever missed by her loving and devoted son, Louis N. Visone, Jr. of Wethersfield; her sister-in-law, Frances Donofrio of Hampton, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Calling hour will be Saturday (January 26) from 9-10 a.m. concluding with a service at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt.
