Rose Louise (DiManno) Yaconiello, 98, of Rocky Hill, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, with her loving family by her side. Born in Unionville, CT on August 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Grossi) DiManno and grew up in Hartford before settling in Rocky Hill. Rose worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She loved playing cards, the New York Yankees, UConn Women’s Basketball, and the casino, but most of all, Rose loved to bake her delicious Italian cookies for her family and friends.
Rose will be forever missed by her three sons and their wives, Richard and Cynthia Yaconiello, John and Laura Yaconiello and Thomas and Susan Yaconiello; 10 adored grandchildren, and her 16 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, and close friends, and her best friend Judy Haskins. Our loving thanks to Yvonne Hyman for her continuous loving care of Rose for the past three years. Rose is predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sharon Yaconiello.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Monday (March 1st) at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. A prayer service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday Morning in the funeral chapel at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
