

Santa (Fiducia) Uccello, 91, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Salvatore Uccello, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Born on January 17, 1925 in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Sebastiana (Ficara) Fiducia. Santa moved to the United States in 1968. She worked as a seamstress at Manchester Modes for about 20 years prior to her retirement. Santa was a member of the Daughters of Canicattini Bagni Society. She enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Santa will be dearly missed by her two devoted children, Paul Uccello and wife Maria of Hartford and Enza Minor and husband Larry of Terryville; three adored grandchildren, Salvatore Uccello and spouse Michael Alessi of Middletown, Regina Healy and husband Kevin of Mine Hill, NJ and Eric Minor and girlfriend Robin Ferguson of Meriden and one cherished great-grandson, Christian Healy of Mine Hill, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, all in Sicily. In addition to her husband and parents, Santa was predeceased by four brothers, Sebastiano, Giuseppe, Paulo and Salvatore Fiducia and two sisters, Concetta Trapani and Marietta Marci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (April 4) at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Monday morning prior to the Mass, from 8:30-9:30 a.m., at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
