Shannon M. Bayek

I am sad to announce the passing of my beloved daughter, Shannon Marie Bayek, age 40, on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was the daughter of Ralph Bayek of Wethersfield. Shannon also leaves a brother, Karl Bayek of Rocky Hill, her two nieces, Amber Bayek of New Britain and Gia Bayek of Rocky Hill, a nephew Brayden Bayek of Rocky Hill, two cousins Christa Barbieri and her family of Watertown, CT and Kurt Bayek and his family of Coachella, CA and an aunt, Diane Bayek of Wethersfield.

Shan was a special needs person who never let her challenges dampen her spirit. She had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that would warm your heart. She enjoyed her walks with Dad, that was their cherished time together.

Shan also leaves Olga Wellington, her wonderful caregiver for many years, who opened her heart and home to Shannon and loved her like her own.

Special thanks to the fantastic people at HARC, the loving staff at the Brentmoor Group Home and the drivers at the Greater Hartford Transit District for their concern and patience.

Shan met her challenges with gusto and will be sorely missed by all whom she touched and knew her.
