

Timo Martin ""Marty"" DeLuca, 24, passed away on Saturday (September 18, 2010) in his hometown of Glastonbury as the result of an automobile accident. Marty was born in Hartford on May 6, 1986. He was a graduate of Glastonbury High School, class of 2004 and was attending Manchester Community College. He worked with his dad in their family business. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Old Wethersfield and in his younger years, he was an assistant Sunday School teacher and a summer camp counselor. Marty was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed playing softball and basketball with his siblings and friends and was always up for a good game of golf. He was always known for his kindheartedness and gentle and loving manner. He was a wonderful, son, brother, grandson and friend to everyone who knew him. Marty is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leslie and Len Golas; his father and stepmother, Crescenzo and Jessica DeLuca; his siblings Nicholas, Carla ""Kurl"", Isabella and C.J. DeLuca; his stepbrothers, Lenny Golas and Tim Golas and wife Tiffany; his grandmother, Josephine ""Nonnie"" DeLuca and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Marty was predeceased by his loving maternal grandparents, George and Donnie ""Nana"" Logan and his paternal grandfather, Nicholas DeLuca. Calling hours are Wednesday (September 22) from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday (September 23) from 8:15-9:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. At the conclusion of the calling hour Thursday morning, funeral procession will leave for a burial at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Following the burial, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield with the Reverend Atessa M. Afshar officiating.
