It is with a heavy heart, that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Tina Marie Lisella. She passed away with family at her side, peacefully at Seabury Meadows, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 and has been reunited with the love of her life, the late Andrew Lisella, Tina was born, February 23, 1930 and raised in Hartford on Front Street, the daughter of the late Paul Mangiafico and Maria (Cultrera) Mangiafico. Tina retired from the Travelers Insurance Company after 25 years of dedicated service, as well as being a licensed hairdresser.
She was a member of the Young Italian American Ladies Auxiliary and a devout member of St. Luke Parish in Hartford. Tina’s favorite time was that spent with her family, always looking forward to the holidays. She enjoyed baking, dancing, traveling, which she did extensively and loved going to the casino.
Tina will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her cherished family; her two daughters, Andrea J. Strada with her husband Bill of Denver, CO, formerly of Stamford, and Josette L. Lisella of West Hartford; her adored grandson, Andrew Strada of Denver, CO; sister-in-law Olivia Dignoti and her husband Sebastian Dignoti, of Wethersfield; special cousin Angeline Brancato of Rocky Hill; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her husband and parents, Tina was predeceased by her sisters Lucy Miele, Nellie Macca and brother Paul Mangiafico, Jr.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, August 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 30 at 12:30 p.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Attendees are asked to go directly to the church. Masks are required for all indoor services per the town of Wethersfield. Interment will follow the Mass in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery (Section R), 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield. St. Jude’s was a charity that was near and dear to Tina’s heart and she was a longtime donor to the hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Tina’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
