Vittoria (Presutti) Vivarelli, 86, of West Hartford, beloved wife for 54 years of the late Egidio Vivarelli, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021. Born in Pratola Peligna, province of L’Aquila, Italy on January 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Cesidio and Antonina (Colaicovo) Presutti. She and Egidio immigrated to America and made their home in West Hartford, where she lived for more than 50 years. Vittoria worked as a machinist for several years, but her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She leaves us with fantastic memories of the traditional Sunday dinners where Vittoria would prepare a delicious feast for her family and friends to enjoy. Her homemade lasagna and gnocchi will never be matched. Vittoria was also a kind and selfless woman, she would always put others needs and feelings before her own.
A loving mother and grandmother, she will be forever missed by her two children, Azelio Vivarelli and wife Lisa of Windsor, Giulia Bethencourt, husband Jose of Southington, and her two adored grandsons, Joseph Bethencourt and Luke Vivarelli. She is also survived by two sisters, Maria Santarelli of Canada and Maddalena Zavarella and husband Edoardo of West Hartford, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members in the U.S., Italy and Canada.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9 to11a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:45 a.m. in St. Lawrence O’Toole Church of Maria Reina de la Paz Parish, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Mausoleum 2), 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford.
