Wanda Schmitt

Wanda Schmitt, 47, of Canton, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 3, 2015 at John Dempsey Hospital with her family by her side. She was born April 15, 1968 and was a graduate of Hartford High. She is survived by her mother, Patricia ""Patti"" (Albert) Vallera and her husband, Vittorio ""Victor"" of Marlborough, three brothers and a sister, Walter ""Wally"" Schmitt and his wife, Gladys of Hartford, Warren Schmitt and his partner, Sheryl Brothers of Wethersfield, Julia Vallera of Brooklyn, NY and Christopher Vallera and his wife, Samantha of Marlborough, her two beloved nieces, Priscilla and Paige Schmitt, her two nephews, Matthew Brothers and Liam Vallera. Wanda is also survived by her father, Walter L. Schmitt. She also leaves aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada and Peru; her two best friends, Theresa Rogenski and Valerie Levesque, as well as the Gervais family. Wanda was known for her beautiful smile, her loving kindness to others and her infectious giggle. Wanda loved spending time by the shore at Camp Harkness in the summer and visiting her mom and dad in Florida during the winter months. She loved the Red Sox and had the opportunity to attend 3 championships. The family wishes to extend special thanks to John Dempsey Hospital ICU Unit for the excellent care provided to Wanda. Calling hour will be Saturday (July 11th) from 1 to 2 pm at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. The burial will be private.
