

She was born Nov. 1, 1965, in Waynesboro, and was the daughter of William E. Sipe Sr. and Pamela Hutchison Sipe of Mount Sidney.
Alisa lived several years in Harrisonburg, but resided in Mount Sidney for the past 16 years. She was a devout Christian and was very active in her children's school activities, and volunteered at their school.
On May 28, 1993, she married Jeffrey L. Oversmith, who survives.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two children, Taylor Ann and Nicolas Reese Oversmith, both at home; one brother, B.J. Sipe and wife, Melissa, of Fishersville; mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Oversmith of Dunwoody, Ga.; father-in-law, Gary Oversmith and wife, Nancy, of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Kris Stoutamire and husband, Dave, of Dunwoody, Ga.; three nephews, W. Blake Sipe, Ferrin Sipe and Alex Stoutamire and one niece, Genera Stoutamire.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave. The casket will be closed.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Middle River Church of the Brethren with Pastor Harold Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Middle River Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to share a meal at the church after the service.
