He was born on October 16, 1958 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late John B. Supinger, Sr. and Barbara S. Morris Hummel and husband, Garland.
Charles was a graduate of Turner Ashby High School and was employed with Lambert’s Cable Splicing, LLC for ten years. In 1970’s he played football for Harrisonburg City League. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In 1987, he married the former, Amy Denise Powers, who preceded him in death on January 5, 2016.
He is survived by a brother, John B. Supinger, Jr. and wife, Shelia; a sister, Carol Hummel and husband, Glenn Holtje; a sister-in-law, Beth Haynes and husband, Kevin; nieces and nephews, Michael Supinger, Stacey Irvine and daughter, Hayleigh and Luke Haynes; his very special friends, Darrell and Missy French; and special pets, Nelly Bean, Lil Bit and Tiger.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Ryan Hummel Holtje.
The family will receive friends 2:30-3:30 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm, at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Kevin Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Weyers Cave Community Cemetery.
