A son of the late Roy E. Coffman and Iva (May) Coffman, he was born August 17, 1955, in Harrisonburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis E. Coffman and Zeandall Mark Coffman.
Forrest graduated from Montevideo High School and retired after working many years for Faraway Farms.
Forrest is survived by seven sisters, Priscilla Grant, Matilda Good, Fern Chandler, Karen Coffman, Kathy Barker, Marcella Coffman and Ramona Coffman; numerous nieces and nephews.
Forrest loved cats and enjoyed traveling, even going to Australia when his health was better. He was looking forward to knee replacements so he could take to the roads again. He had a kind giving heart and was always checking on his sisters. He enjoyed going to the American Legion and the VFW. He will be truly missed by many friends and family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave, with Rev. Scott Budde officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
