George Keith Shaver

George Keith Shaver, 84, a resident of Crimora, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Augusta Nursing Rehabilitation in Fishersville. He was born on June 22, 1927 in Keezletown and was the son of the late John Leslie and Sallie Crowe Shaver. Keith moved with his family to Augusta County in the 3rd grade, he was a dairy farmer for years. He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Mary Jane Freed. Also surviving are his children, Eddie Shaver and wife, Vinda; Ellen Shaver Shank and husband, Jerry; Ernest Shaver and wife, Melody; grandchildren, Les Shaver and Jessica, Leigh Shaver Cline and Greg, Lynn Shaver and Justine, Derick Shank, Heather Shaver, and Harmony Shaver; one great-grandchild, Virginia Lee Shaver; a sister, Glenna Powers; a brother, Lyle Shaver and wife, Grace; sister-in-laws, Margaret Shaver and Nancy Scaggs. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Gunsalus officiating. Burial will be private. Anyone wishing to visit with family members can do so following the memorial service in the social hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daily Living Center, 990 E.
