OBITUARY
John Pershing Patterson
April 1, 1933 – March 10, 2011
John “Jack” Pershing Patterson, 77, a resident of Potomac, Md., died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.
A son of the late Lewis and Kathryn Taylor Patterson, he was born on April 1, 1933 in Blairsville, PA.
Mr. Patterson attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD and served in the Navy from 1952 until 1956. He served as Administrative Officer for the National Institute of Health.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Bosserman Patterson, and two daughters, Kathryn Patterson and Karen Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening, March 16, 2011 at the Lindsey Weyers Cave Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock Thursday morning, March 17, 2011 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Chris Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, National Capital Region, 1785 Connecticut Ave. NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20009, or to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Salem Church Road, Mt. Sidney, VA 24467.
