

In loving memory of Kay Frances Orndorff, who passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 64. Kay worked for Merry Maids and enjoyed keeping her home spotless along with serving the community with cleaning theirs. Kay was a cherished mom, sister, devoted friend, beloved aunt, beloved grandmother, and treasured cousin. Her warm smile and ability to have those around her laughing touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on December 10, 1958, in Harrisonburg, VA, Kay brought joy and laughter into the world from the very beginning. She was known for her silly personality, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Kay had a remarkable ability to make everyone laugh and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
As a mom and sister, Kay was a constant source of strength and love. She shared countless memories filled with laughter, late-night talks, and adventures that will be cherished forever. As a grandmother, Kay loved watching her grandchildren grow and mature into caring teenagers-being a part of all the big and small moments. As an aunt, she showered her nieces and nephews with affection and lots of jokes, always embracing their achievements. Her playful spirit and nurturing presence made her an irreplaceable part of everyone’s lives.
Kay's friendships were equally cherished. Her loyalty and compassion created bonds that her friends will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Kay is survived by her son, Michael Orndorff and grandchildren Nicholas, Ashlynn and Jackson, loving siblings, Patsy Montana of Myrtle Beach SC, Joyce Green and husband, Glenn of Rockingham, VA, Linda May of Churchville VA, and brother Jerry Keller of WV; Nieces, Tina Smith and wife, Irene, Robby Smith and wife, Crystal, Debbie Brown, Autumn May, Angela Orndorff, Deborah Green and Heidi Green; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by mother, Lillian Louise Orndorff, two sisters, Mary Batten and Betty Smith, brother, Gerald Keller, niece, Frances Louise Will and great niece, Christina Orndorff.
A celebration of Kay's life will be held on February 15th, 2025, at 2964 Spring Hill Rd., Staunton VA 24401 at Spring Hill Barn at 2:00, where friends and family are invited to share their memories, a meal and honor the beautiful spirit that Kay was. Kay’s favorite color was blue, and she loved angels. We are asking all in attendance if able to wear blue to please do so in memory of our beloved Kay.
Kay Frances Orndorff may have left this world, but her legacy of love, kindness, and friendship will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
