We became friends with Henry and Kitty during the time when Henry and I worked together on a three year long project, and we were fortunate to be able to maintain the relationship (and occasional contact) over the subsequent years. Kitty was a very special person who will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her. We used to joke that she was probably a saint, considering her support for Henry in his various passionate hobbies (hunting, cars, etc)!! Wishing continued strength to you, Henry.

The Board of Directors for Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center, wishes to express our deepest sympathy to the Sullenberger family. Kitty was a long time teacher at the center and beloved as one of the Golden Girls, who continued to support the center after their retirements. She had a positive impact on the lives of the children she cared for and their families.
