He was born in Middletown, NY, on October 8, 1946, and was the son of the late Philip W. Young Sr. and Ruth Schrer Young.
Philip had lived in Weyers Cave for the past nine years, and previously in Wurtsboro and Summitville, NY, Hawaii and Florida. He had been employed with Shencorp Roofing in Harrisonburg for ten years.
On June 13, 1968, he married the former, Carol Crumley, who survives.
He is also survived by a son, Philip W. Young III, and wife, Casey, of Louisville, TN; two daughters, Virginia Young Scott and husband, Wesley, of Washington State, Theresa Young of Carlstadt, NJ; and three granddaughters, Alexis Young and Samantha and Enarra Scott.
A Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
