

He was born On April 12, 1944 in Colorado Springs, CO, and was the son of the late Lyman Aubrey Drewry, Sr. and Evelyn Hawthorne Drewry.
Victor served in the US Army and had lived in the area for the past 30 years; he was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was farm manager on various beef cattle farms.
On April 29, 1967 he married the former Anita Comer, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Andy Drewry and wife, Waynesa of Staunton, Dale Drewry of Sterling, VA; a beloved granddaughter London Drewry; a brother, L. Aubrey Drewry, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Birmingham, AL; three sisters, Brenda Steele and husband, Tom, Linda Lundy, Deborah Cox and husband, Kenny, all of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Judy Drewry of Fincastle, VA; a step-mother, Pearl Myers Drewry of Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Charlie Comer and wife, Sandi of Midlothian, VA; and a special friend, Nancy Flippo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Drewry and a brother-in-law, Mike Lundy.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Lindsey Funeral home in Weyers Cave. Burial will be private.
