William Theodore Bush

He was born on September 1, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, and was the son of the late Charles Ashby and Viola C. Ford Bush.

William had lived in Weyers Cave for 49 years, and was employed with the Highway Department, Verona Residency for 26 years, he retired in 1991. He was a member of St. Andrews Church of Christ and the Auxiliary of Weyers Cave Fire Department.

On January 22, 1954 he married the former, Janet Hanger, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Nancy Todd and husband, Robert, of Midlothian, VA, Joseph Bush and wife, Kathy, of Swoope, Steve Bush of Weyers Cave, Janice Smith of Chesterfield, VA, and Carol Bush Talley and husband, Jeff, of Churchville; his grandchildren, Tiffany Silverio and husband, Franklin, of Ft. Hood, TX, Patrick Todd and wife, Cathy, of Midlothian, Ryan Thompson of Richmond, Billy Bush of Waynesboro; one step-grandson, Jesse Talley of Richmond; two great-grandchildren; and three surviving siblings, two brothers, Russell Bush of Staunton, Johnny Bush of Shenandoah; and a sister, Betty Ford of Harrisonburg.

He was preceded in death by six siblings.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 16, at the Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Fike officiating. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
