

Ford, Henry Dwight- 74, passed away at home on October 17th 2012. Born in New Tusket, Digby County, he was a son of the late James Eldon and Helen (Sabean) Ford. Henry was a graduate of Maritime Forest Ranger School and was employed by NSDNR until his retirement in 1994. He was a fine craftsman, woodworker and general handyman. His happiest hours were spent on his woodlot with his tractor and chainsaw. Besides his wife, Brenda, Henry is survived by sons, Dwight (Beth), Richfield; Allister (Jennifer), Cogmagun; daughter, Angela, Ottawa; two precious grandsons, Carter and Benjamin. Also survived by brothers, St. Clair (Frances), Lindsay (Helen), Ernest (Sharon), sisters Maureen, Shirley (Malcolm), Erma (Robert), Bona (Glen), half brother Edward (Betty), several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother-in-law Roy Prime. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. There will be visitation on Friday night from 7:00-9:00 PM at the New Tusket United Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM Saturday, Brian Reid officiating, assisted by David Cawley. The remains will be interred at the New Tusket Pine Grove Cemetery. Family flowers only.
