Ambrose “Petch” Gauthreaux, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was a native of Bayou Goula and a resident of White Castle. Ambrose lived life to the fullest and served in the army for two years. Ambrose is survived by his sister, Myrtle Gauthreaux; two sisters-in-law, Annette Gauthreaux and Claire “Peanut” Gauthreaux, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Winnie Gauthreaux; five brothers, Wilson Gauthreaux, Herben Gauthreaux, Kermit Gauthreaux, Arthur Gauthreaux, and Edward Gauthreaux. The family would like to thank the staff at Baton Rouge General on Blue Bonnet and Amedysis Home Health. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle from 12:00p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00p.m. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum with military honors by Westside Honor Guard.
