Calvin Anthony Medine Sr.

He is survived by his lifelong love, Sandra Calligan Medine; 4 children, Michael A. Allen, Danny “Digger” Medine, Calvin “Jojo” Medine Jr., and Tammy Medine Gomez; 3 siblings, Donald Medine, Diane Boone, and Severan “S.J.” Medine; twelve grandchildren, Michael Allen Jr., Nikki Allen Lord, Marcus Allen, Jordan Allen, Taylor Simmers, Tanner Allen, Trista Medine, Amber Medine, Duran Medine, Misty Nichols, Brittney Nichols, Hailey Nickens, Morgan “Mick” Gomez, and Haley Kolb Carvin; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth “Kenny” Medine; parents, Allen and Emma Medine; and 6 siblings, Shirley Medine, Evelynn Cox, Andrew Medine, Curtis Medine, Allen “Cutsy” Medine, and Jerrel “Goat” Medine Sr.

He loved to hunt, shoot pool, and was a boxing coach/trainer in his younger years. He loved his grandchildren and great-children and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM on Saturday, August 14 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle. A funeral service will be conducted by Mr. Calvin’s nephew, Allen David Medine at 11 AM; burial to follow at the White Castle Mausoleum.
