Dorothy Cornett Van Tuyl, 72, a native of White Castle. She passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Maggie Crochet and husband Davy; son Nathan Van Tuyl and wife Stacy; three grandchildren Trace Van Tuyl, Courtney Van Tuyl, and Gena Crochet; and sister Peggy Pepper. Preceded in death by her husband Eugene Van Tuyl; mother Maggie Kemp; father Jack Cornett; and two brothers Charlie and Robert Van Tuyl.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle from 9:00 a.m. until Religious Services at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Port Hudson Cemetery.
