

He enjoyed watching western movies, fishing, hunting, and going to the casino. Most of all, mentoring his grandson, Daniel, the son he never had.
He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Callahan, Julie Hebert (Perry) and Gisele Aucoin (Keith); five grandchildren, Daniel Callahan (Stacey), Mallory Himel (Randy), Micah Frame (Derek), Jacob Aucoin (Jana) and Courtney Addison (Will); ten great-grandchildren, Hayes and Harris Himel, Kasen and Kohen Frame, Jude, Jackson and Evie Aucoin, Liam, Isla and Eris Addison; brother, Bob Callahan (Linda); five sister-in-laws, Carolyn Schlatre, Geraldine Theriot (Burton), Catherine Oubre (David), Barbara Capello and Clara Capello; and brother-in-law, Henry Capello.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Callahan, Sr.; and his beloved wife, Ernestine "Tina" Callahan.
The honorary pallbearers will be Bob Callahan, Perry Hebert and Keith Aucoin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his nurse, Lindsey Archibald, and to all the West Towne Assisted Living owners and staff for their care and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 9:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle. Father Alec Sheldon will officiate. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
