Josephine Mary Valenziano

A native of white Castle she was born August 12, 1918. Josephine passed away in Baton Rouge on October 09, 2012. She was a graduate of White Castle High School in 1934. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Josephine was the fifth queen of the Whaley-Savoy American Legion Post 212 Annual Carnival Ball in 1952. She was an employee of the White Castle Bank of Commence. She retired after almost 40 years of service as Assistant Cashier. Josephine is survived by a brother John “Johnny” Valenziano, four nephews Dr. Richard, Mark, David and Robert Valenziano and nine grandnieces and grandnephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore “Mr. Sam” and Rosa Serio Valenziano, a brother Salvatore “Sam” “Mr. V” Valenziano, three sisters Dr. Zena, Jennie and Frances Valenziano, sister-in-law Doris “Dot” Valenziano and grandniece Katherine Grace Valenziano. Pallbearers will be Earl Breaux Jr., Dennis Caballero, Richard Valenziano and Mark Valenziano. Visitation will commence at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, White Castle on Friday, October 12 at 8:30 am until Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Rev. Joey Angeles, celebrant.
