OBITUARY

Mary Jean Doiron

November 29, 1935April 12, 2020

Mary Jean Doiron, 84, a native of Alexandria and resident of White Castle, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling and friend. She taught religious education and was a lector at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church for several years. Mary loved spending time with her family, listening to music, singing and dancing. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her six children, Melanie Doiron Callegan (Richard), Richie Doiron (Rhonda), Perry Doiron (Cindy), Craig Doiron (Monica), Todd Doiron and Kevin Doiron (Sharon); twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and two brothers, Steve and Tommy Testa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Doiron Jr.; parents, Steve and Mary Anastasio Testa; one sister, Theresa Bordelon; one brother, Samuel Testa and two grandsons, Travis and Chad Doiron. Due to current circumstances, visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, White Castle, LA.

I was saddened to hear about Aunt Mary Jean's passing. I have so many fond (and funny) memories of her that it is impossible to think of her without a smile coming to my face. She expressed her love and joy with abundance.
