He is survived by his wife of 67yrs Ruby Callegan Leonard; two daughters and son-in-law Brenda Leonard Zito and Cheryl Leonard Foose and husband Marshall Foose; son and daughter-in-law Barry Joseph Leonard and wife Beverly Richard Leonard; sister Wilma Leonard Hymel and husband Louis Hymel; four grandchildren Jaymee Ourso Burleigh and husband Steven, Courtney Zito Elliott and husband Ryan, Alisha Leonard, and Barry Joseph Leonard Jr. and wife Brittney; and five great-grandchildren Bailey Alise and Aimee Claire Burleigh, Sarah Ryan and Charles Michael Elliott, and Reid Joseph Leonard.

Preceded in death by parents Dorceno Leonard and Zoe Bolotte Leonard; son Wayne Leonard, grandson Blake Michael Benoit; sisters and brothers-in-law Lurline Waldrop and husband Roy, Bernice Hymel and husband Andrew, and Loretta Poche and husband Allen; brothers and sister-in-law Benny Leonard and Leslie Leonard Sr. and wife Doris.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle from 11:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in White Castle Cemetery.
