

Theresa Vicknair Clement, a native of White Castle, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the day after celebrating her 91st birthday. Theresa was born February 14, 1931, to Valsin and Edda Vicknair, their youngest daughter and ninth child of eleven.
Theresa married the love of her life, Gerard Clement, on June 24, 1950. They were married for 64 years when Gerard passed away in June of 2014. He called her the most beautiful woman in the world, and she was, inside and out. They had six children, Ann Kirkpatrick (husband Billy), Barbara Normand (husband Rex), Deacon Randy Clement (wife Diane), Cassie Calvin (husband CJ), Dianne March (husband Steve) and Penny Clement. She also had 18 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Theresa was an amazing mother and provided her family with unconditional love and support throughout their lives. In addition to taking care of her family, she worked as a librarian, secretary, bookkeeper, and office manager. She was a woman of strong faith who relied on God through all of life’s ups and downs. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where she volunteered in many different roles throughout her life.
Theresa loved dancing with her husband, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and sewing.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 21, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in White Castle, with internment immediately following the Mass. Everyone is invited to join the family in a reception celebrating Theresa after the services at Danny’s Catering, 36335 LA-69, White Castle.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
