Therese Breaux Martinez

A resident of White Castle, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. She was 89 and a native of Pierre Part. Therese was a retired cafeteria worker from Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. She enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family. Therese also loved quilting. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Adele "Dale" Martinez Himel and husband Robert of Donaldsonville; son and daughter in law, Adam J. "Rock" Martinez and wife Margaret of White Castle; sister, Yvonne Breaux; brother, Raymond Breaux and wife Pearly; grandchildren and spouses, Everette Himel, Scott Martinez and wife Heather, Tommy Martinez and wife Samantha, and Mandy Rodriguez and husband Jose; and great grandchildren, Hannah Himel, Claire, Landon, and Noah Martinez, Luis, Anjelica, Maribel, and Alejandra Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Adam "Eddie" Martinez; parents, Kennedy and Idia Hebert Breaux; sisters, Georgina Coupel, Martha Aucoin, Ester Blanchard, and Agatha Mouton; brothers, Alford, Eddie, Theo, Ivy, Cleveland, Clines, Norbert, Moise and Roy Breaux. Visiting will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, White Castle, on Monday, August, 29, 2016 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment to follow in White Castle Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Everette Himel, Scott Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Jose Rodriguez, Earl Crochet, and Danny Breaux. Her great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice.
