Wilson J. Albarado, 82, a retired sugar cane farmer, died Friday, July 22, 2011 at his home in White Castle. He was a native of Belle Rose and served as a corporal in the U.S. Army for two years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gladys M. Albarado; daughter, Connie A. Alleman and husband Gary, of Pierre Part; two sons, Wendell Albarado and wife Mary Sue, and David Albarado, all of White Castle; four grandchildren, Trish Irwin and husband Nuggie, Christy A. Dupre and husband Hunter, Gary Alleman Jr. and companion Serene, and Kyle J. Albarado; four great-grandchildren, Lainey, Lexi, Gracie Belle and Braylie; and three sisters, Melva Landry, of Pierre Part, Maude A. Boudreaux, of Bridge City, and Ida Pollet, of Harvey. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney Albarado and Camilla Cavalier Albarado; son, W.J. Albarado; three sisters, Vivian Albarado, Frances Boudreaux and Odelia Mabile; and four brothers, Clifton, Clinton, Leroy and Melvin Albarado. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle on Sunday, July 24, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle at 10 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum.
