Barbara Ann Nini

Barbara A. Nini, 79, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 13, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 13, 1943, in Trenton, NJ, raised in Hamilton Square, NJ, and attended the Hamilton Township school system.

Barbara was the beloved wife of Carmen J. Nini Jr. for the last 63 years. Together they raised two children (Joseph and Elaine) in Robbinsville, NJ before moving to Florida for 22 years in Pompano Beach and the Villages. They returned home to Whiting, NJ, where they have been living for the past 12 years.

Throughout Barbara’s life, she enjoyed hosting dinner parties and making her famous antipasto salad, playing golf, and traveling (going on over 30 cruises). An avid Yankees fan, she loved watching them play.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents Leo and Cecelia Roche. She is survived by her husband Carmen J. Nini, Jr. and her two children, son Joseph Nini and his wife Barbara of Columbus, NJ and daughter Elaine and her husband Dennis Edinger of Groveville, NJ. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Peter Danese and his wife Shelly, Katie Kohlmayer and her husband George, Melissa Michael and her husband Matthew, and Michael Edinger and his wife Rebecca. She is also survived by her seven great granddaughters, her two sisters Joan Young and Regina Gage, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 10:45 AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church - All Saints Chapel; 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ, 08759.
