Jersey.
Carole was born in Newark, NJ on May 5, 1934 to Margaret and Lewis Moglia. She was
predeceased by her husband Cono “Sonny” Aromando, four sisters and three brothers,
Shirley Heinen, Valerie “Pat” Rozyla, Annette Sauer, Beverly Maurer, Joseph Moglia, Kenneth
Moglia and Lewis Moglia. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her special
companion, John “Ed” Morris.
Carole worked for many years at Gannett/Asbury Park Press. Upon her retirement she spent
more than ten years in volunteer service purchasing food and preparing meals at various soup
kitchens in Monmouth County, routinely feeding more than 100 people weekly. She was
especially proud of her Thanksgiving feast for those in need.
Carole enjoyed the beach and occasional trips to try her luck in Atlantic City. She was known
for her spunk, vitality and love of family. She was a great baker, known for making Struffoli at
Christmas, and spent a day last December teaching three generations of family members the
recipe and technique in an attempt to pass along the tradition. She will be missed.
Honoring Carole’s wishes, cremation will be private and there will be no formal memorial
service.
