Claire H. Hughes-Glasgow, 87, passed away on Wednesday at her home in Crestwood Village, Whiting. Claire was born in Elizabeth and lived most of her life there, before moving to Whiting in 1982. She worked for many years at the Howard Saving in Newark, and numerous other banks before retiring in 1964. She is a member of the Whiting United Methodist Church, the Ocean County Historical Society, the Popcorn Zoo in Forked River, and the Residents Club on Village IV.
She is predeceased by her two husbands, Wesley L. Hughes (1979) and George U. Glasgow (2003). Visiting hours will be Monday form 2 to 4 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting with the service to follow at 4 PM.
