Edward Walter Loewe

Edward Walter Loewe, 84, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away peacefully Friday, July 8, at home surrounded by family. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force having served in Korea from 1951-1953. He became a maintenance supervisor at the Salvation Army Retired Officer Residence in Asbury Park for many years, retiring in 1992. Born in Newark, he resided in Cliffwood Beach before moving to Whiting in 1996.

He is predeceased by his sisters, the late Helen Maier and the late Ethel Daum. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Alice nee McMullan Loewe and their children, Deby Dries & her husband Stephen, Kathy Szubski, and Timothy Loewe. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremie, Sara, Shane, Bethany & Zachary; and 3 greatgrandchildren, Kiera, Cambria and Michael. Edward is also survived by his sister Emily Loewe.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 12 from 9:30-11am at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753 Services will begin at 11am. Committal will be private.
