

Edward Eli Serafin, Jr. 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at home surrounded by family. He was a maintenance technician and electrician all his life more recently at the Highland Park Apartments in Camp Hill, PA., retiring in 2009. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a congregant of The Evangelical Free Church in Whiting. Edward was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Freehold and in Colts Neck before moving to Whiting 6 years ago.
He is predeceased by two daughters, Jeanine A. Serafin in 1984 and the late Stephanie Ann Rivera in 2012. Edward is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gale (nee Ratcliffe) Serafin. Also surviving are their children; Terry Ann Serafin, Ronald Serafin, Kimberly Marie Oliver, David R. Evans III, and Edward Eli Serafin III. Edward will also be missed by his grandchildren, Cassandra, Johnny, Kristina, Mariah, Chelsea, & Luke. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 9 from 6-8pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. There will also be visiting on Thursday, from 10-11:30am with Funeral Services beginning at 11:30am from the Christ Evangelical Free Church, 300 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting. Committal will follow with military honors from the BrigGenWmCDoyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
