Born in New York City, NY, she lived in Paterson before moving to Whiting in 1988.

Prior to retiring, she was a Home Health Aid for Patient Care in Ridgewood, NJ

Emma is predeceased by her husband Eugene in 2009 also by a brother George Smith and 2 sister's Dorothy Dixon and Muriel Sette.

Surviving is a son Allen and his wife Donna of Hopatcong. A daughter Arleen Azzarone of Toms River. A brother Adolph Smith of Chicage and a sister Annette Montayne of NJ. Also by 2 grandchildren: Matthew and Bonnie. And 5 great-Grandchildren: Kyle, Autum, Michael, Sydney and Connor.

Funeral Services are private under the direction of the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at 10:00 am at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
