Frances Casamento, 96, of Whiting, N.J., passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Fran was born and raised in Astoria, NY. She was happily married to Bartolo (Lou) J. Casamento for over 60 years. They resided in Astoria until moving to Whiting 28 years ago. Fran worked for Manufacturers Hanover Bank in Manhattan, retiring in 1977. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Fran is predeceased by her husband Bartolo in 2001 and her daughter-in-law, Mary in 1999. She is survived by her two sons, Dominick and his wife Tina of Oregon, and Richard Casamento and Karena Sherwood of Pine Beach, NJ; four grandchildren, Kathryn, Richard and his wife Nicole, Brian, and Lisa; and 3 great-grandchildren, Annabella, Ava, and Marissa.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, Manchester Twp. 08759. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:45am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church Whiting. Burial will follow at the Whiting Memorial Park.
