Frances Casella

Frances Catherine Casella, Age 79, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at Tallwoods Care Rehabilitation in Bayville, N.J. Fran was born on October 12th, 1940 in Jersey City, N.J. where she lived before moving to Piermont, N.Y. and then retired to Cedar Glenn Lakes Adult Community in Whiting, N.J. She attended Ferris High School and continued her education at Drakes Secretarial School where she graduated and became a legal secretary and buyer for First National Stores and then A&P Food Chain. Fran lived life to the fullest and was a problem solver. She often took on different tasks with work and projects. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She was the president of the board of her condominium building complex in New York and later vice president at Cedar Glen Lakes board as well. She also chaired many social activities. She was involved with her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Whiting, N.J. Fran enjoyed bingo, dancing, crocheting, cards, bowling, going to Atlantic City, having coffee and desserts, and spending time with family. Frances is survived by 1 brother, Russell Casella and 2 sisters, Catherine Lombardi and Sandie Lee, and a cousin Anna Balkie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Russell Casella, Carol Casella, Richard Casella, Paul Lombardi, James Lombardi, Richard Lombardi, Donna Lombardi, Shawn Lee, Holly Billings, and Mindy O’Connor. Also, 11 great nieces and nephews. Fran will be deeply missed by her family and friends who knew her.

Unfortunately with us living so far away from everyone, we didn't get to spend a lot of time with Fran. I will always remember her as a fun loving, and special person. She always had a great smile!
