Francina Schmidt

Born in New York City, she lived in Hoboken and Point Pleasant before moving to Brick in 2003.

She owned and operated Schmidt’s Delicatessen from 1949 to 1969 in Point Pleasant. She then worked as a Nurses Aid at the Point Pleasant Hospital. She retired in 1981.

She is predeceased by her husband Gerhardt who died in 1990.

Surviving are 2 sons: Wayne and his wife Susan of Prior Lake, MN, Gary Schmidt of Bayville. 4 grandchildren: Christine Conway, Holly Najdzinowicz, Brian Schmidt and Heidi Hogen. 4 great-grandchildren: Katherine and Robert Conway Jr., Allison Najdzinowicz and Sedonah Hogen.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church on Saturday August 4th at 2:00PM. All friends and family are invited to celebrate her life with a reception following the service.
